John Embry & James Turk - U.S. Dollar on Death Row

John Embry Chief Investment Strategist at Sprott Asset Management believes that the days of the dollar are numbered : I do I look at things mathematically he says , when I look at the budget deficit for example you reach the stage now where expenditures are twice as much as revenues , they are taking in less than 50 percent of what they're spending anytime you seen that in history that mean you by pass the point of no return so I find these debates of how much spending and cuts they gonna have or tax rise or sort of deals budget deficit problems kinda factious because I think they have reach the state in which they can do nothing but monetize to debt because they can't crack it - U.S. Dollar on Death Row

The Silver rises more than 8 percent this week

The Silver trade. It's driven by investment demand CNBC 5/10/2011

The Fast Money traders weigh in on whether you should buy silver now and which trades you should put down today.Silver looks like it has bottomed and it has started rising back up again after it fell last week on fund exits CME margin hikes in fact silver prices rises 8% this week .
B.K. " I'm still long silver, both options and the SLV. I do think you can probably get in, at least on a third position here.you can you use 33 on the SLV as your stop. that way you have a defined risk, or can you just go with some upside calls maybe the 40 calls on the SLV, something like that, but I still believe in the silver trade. one, it's driven by investment demand which certainly came off with the margin increases, but there's a new mutual fund that's coming out that's going to be holding physical silver and inflation is not done both China and Brazil are raising wages, and that will lead to more inflation. "

James Turk the Euro wont survive the Dollar

James Turk on how strong is the Euro ? : I want to evaluate each of these 7 points between the dollar and the Euro , number one gold prices rising , it's rising in dollar terms and it's rising in Euro terms and keep in mind to when I am talking about the dollar , what is backing the Euro , you have a little bit of GOLD in the ECB , if it hasn't been loaned out , we do not know much it has been loaned out because the ECB does not disclose that information ...eliminating the old from there what else is backing the EURO ? The DOLLAR , if the US Dollar goes into the black hole the gravitational pool will eventually pull the Euro with it , that's my basic premise ...it might not happen right away , it might take few weeks or few months but unless the Euro creates its own policy separate from the state of the US Dollar , if the US dollar goes into the black hole the gravitational pool will pull the Euro with it .....

Mike Maloney on The Silver Sell-Off

Mike Maloney : as far as the sell-off goes I really do not care , well actually I do I am hoping silver will go down a little bit more because I want to buy more , I want a lot more . silver has yet to exceed its 1980 High we came whthin a breath of it but it hasn't exceeded its 1980 high , can you name one thing on this planet that is still selling at a discount to its 1980 price !? ...
the dollar is on its death bed , the Euro is on the verge of break out , people do not realize that every 30 to 40 years the world has a new monetary system , the dollar is doomed , gold is going to go to infinity so is silver, measuring gold and silver in dollar is idiotic , gold is not anywhere near a bubble , silver is money just like gold , the dollar is a currency not money ....when gold and silver are in the run away it means that the death of the currency is right around the corner , the Hunt brothers were used as the sacrificial lamb to save the US Dollar , the precious metals always always win

As long as we have a money supply that is permitted to be expanded by private banks and politicians at will, then the increase in the money supply guarantees its value will decline over time.As the value of the money we use declines, the price of physical commodities that the money can purchase will rise in price. In other words it will take more of the same paper in the future to purchase the same.

Mexico sells US dollars and buys gold bullion

The Central Bank of Mexico announced the purchase of about 100 tons of gold in recent months, the equivalent to 4% of the bank's international reserves.Almost a hundred tonnes of gold in a couple of months. The purchase of the Mexican Central Bank, according to the statistics released by the IMF, this massive purchase however was not enough to halt the correction of the ingot, which yesterday - driven by the collapse of the silver, falling by almost 20% in three sessions - is back up about $ 1,490 an ounce. However, the news was welcomed by analysts as one of the most obvious manifestations of a revolution that is going through the gold market, as well as a further significant signal of lack of confidence in the greenback, now slipping in values close to historic lows (the descent was continued yesterday, in response to disappointing economic data from the United States, including in particular the sharp decline in April ISM services index and orders).
After two decades of prevailing sales, the gold reserves of central banks have started last year for the first time to grow, thanks to the purchase of many emerging countries, including China, Russia and India. Mexico, however, is moving in a particularly aggressive way , at the end of January its gold reserves amounted to only 220 thousand ounces, two months later it had risen to 3.2 million ounces (or 100.15 tonnes), an amount equal to about 3.5% of world mining production and at the current prices is worth about $ 4 billion.
The Mexican stocks reached in April, the historical record of $ 128 billion, so the gold is still a marginal fraction of the total: just over 3%, compared to 70% in the case of the USA, first in world rankings . The fact that the purchases have taken place in a time when the gold price already interrelated one record after another is significant, however, that the mood across the market. Probably they think that makes sense because they are convinced that the dollar will depreciate again. A lack of confidence that weighs much, given the strong economic ties and trade with neighboring United States.
The statistics released yesterday by the IMF show that in the first quarter Russia and Thailand have also bought gold. Russia added 18.8 tons to its reserves, while Thailand has increased by 9.3 tonnes to 108.9

Jim Cramer : Gold is a currency not a commodity

Jim Cramer : Silver Silver Silver that's all anybody seems to be interested in everywhere i go. it's the hot button on twitter @jimcramer. holy cow, check that out. it was the major focus of panel i was in new york city last night about precious metals. it's what i hear in the street and it's in my e-mail box constantly. first, let me just say when it comes to precious metals, i like gold. I've liked gold for ages. and I'm not changing my posture now. i think it's a currency, not a commodity. thing is a demand and not enough supply. when demand soars, particularly from central banks. we learned mexico is buying. while supplies stay the same, prices go through the roof. you know my order preference. i like bullion the most, then the gld, the gold etf, what it trades at. and only after that would i go for the stocks of the gold minors. my favorite is goldcorp gg for you home gamers. we heard from last night. a good story. since i like gold, i haven't felt the need to get behind silver because as my friend tom caplan, a legendary metal investor put it silver is gold on steroids. I've got enough problem with the volatility of gold whom. needs silver. you disagree? look at the monumental collapse in this metal. silver is a poor man's gold with industrial exposure they don't need at this point in the cycle. even worse, silver has been overrun by day traders using ETFs. and that makes it too hard to game or even speculate on where the price will be a day from now, let alone a week or a month or year. so my bottom line on bimetallism is this. i like gold. silver is too hot to handle. i'm simply taking a pass. stick with gold. don't crucify your portfolio on a cross of silver. stick with Cramer.

The COMEX manipulating the silver Market

The COMEX manipulating the silver Market , The CME increased margins 5 times! this is forcing investors to sell , they raised margin requirements from $9000 to $21000 in five days ! there is no small investor that can handle that so they are all wiped out ,Guys like George Soros and Carlos Slim are dumping paper, not real. They never had any to begin with....Its all just blips on a screen and some day soon, we will hold the worlds real wealth....

We must remember the drop in the silver price in 2008 from $21 to $9. That drop was a higher percentage than the one we have currently experienced. Like the increase we have seen from $9 to almost $50, imagine the increase we will see from say $30?!?!? I think the paper is easier to track than physical. In the physical world, premiums are getting higher, many online dealers are running low on the popular coins. As far as suggestions, everyone has their favorites, you can buy government mint coins at a slightly higher premium, or you can just buy generic rounds as long as it's at least .999 silver. Most of us seem to go with Silver Eagles and Canadian Maples, but you're good as long as it's pure silver. And junk silver.

COMEX Silver for May delivery dropped another $3.152 per troy ounce Or 8% to $36.23
Jim Cramer : all things gold and silver got pounded again today. as people who bought them with borrowed money were force the to put up more cash or get blown out of their positions. something i have been warning you about all week. this sell-off is about market mechanics, not the fundamentals, so i'm not backing away from gold as a fantastic long-term money-making theme. you need to have gold in your portfolio. now that it's begun to pull back and pull back hard, it's time to consider building a position slowly if you still don't have any exposure to the shiny stuff. remember, my playbook is simple. i like bullion, actually gold bars.

The Gold Dinar behind the war in Libya ?

Could it be that the intentions of Gaddafi of introducing the Gold dinar and using it to sell his crude oil  , could that been the real cause that triggered the war in Libya , Gaddafi was urging the African nations and the Arab league countries to introduce a unified currency backed by gold called the Gold Dinar , which will be used instead of the US Dollar in oil and commodities trade , that would have been a death sentence of the US Dollar which is backed by nothing . Libya has 144 tons of gold....

The Gold Standard Returns ?

After other countries abandoned the gold standard in the early days of the Great Depression, the Hoover administration stayed on in, even though doing so may U.S. goods less competitive. Franklin Roosevelt effectively abandoned the gold standard in 1933. He returned to a modified version of it the following year but with the price of gold raised to $35 per ounce. After WW2, the Roosevelt $35 price became enshrined in the Bretton Woods international monetary system until President Nixon ended that system in 1971.

Lewis Lehrman Former Reagan Monetary Policy Advisor explains why no matter how many billions of dollars Congress cuts from the federal budget, we won't fix our deficit until we return to the gold standard.inflation is a direct continuation of what's fundamental under a fiat currency model establishment where monies are printed with no backing.
Paper money is not just a mere userfriendly substitute for gold, like it is portrait to be and teached in schools; this is a dirty lie. Paper money is a means for power institutions (states, banks,..) to steal your valuables or fruit of your labor by imposing a fantasy trade item of wich the value they manipulate as they wish. They can do this because violence is inherent in this system and all of humanity is oppressed by these institutions. Yes the world has changed; now we all are slaves

Mexican Billionaire Carlos Slim Selling Silver

Mexican Billionaire Carlos Slim Selling Silver

here is something we are watching right now. we have breaking news on one billionaire making a move in the precious metals market. this has been an effort to hedge production for his silver mines. a spokesperson would not tell the percentage of production they have hedged out nor the price they have been able to secure on what they have been selling. this is an effort to hedge productions from the silver mining as a new company that went public. it is a mining company of gold and silver. we have been hearing from traders that they believe that Carlos has been active in the futures market. securing a certain price at very his prices that we have seen over the last couple of weeks. i will tell you i spoke with him directly back in January. he was very concerned about inflation. commodities prices were driven higher because of the weak dollar and the big surprise money that had injured in the world. would coincide with the belief that what he expressed at the time, a lot of commodities are moving higher due to an issue of the weak dollar.

I live in a huge north American mega city and the whole City has hardly 3 to 4 coin shops selling gold and silver to a population of around 6 millions when we count the suburbs most people have never heard of gold and silver coins so i wonder how come some dare to talk about a bubble when roughly 1 percent of the population only owns some kind of silver ?

James Turk : The Dollar on the path to Fiat currency graveyard

James Turk & Chris Waltzek - Goldseek Radio April 26, 2011

James Turk of goldmoney.com : I am anticipating a waterfall decline of the dollar in not a very distant future , as we are getting close to June when the FED have to decide whether to stop the Quantitative easing or stop it , but the reality is I do not see how they can stop Quantitative easing says James Turk , giving that the politicians in Washington continue to spend like there is no tomorrow that debt got to be financed somewhere and it is going to be financed by the printing press that's very very inflationary , ...the silver remains in backwardation where the spot month is higher than the future contracts in December 2015 and that's about a 65 cent backwardation which is very very rare event but it's an indication of how tight the physical market is

The secret behind The Gold, Silver rallies ?

The Fundamentals of Precious Metals Investing with Jerry Robinson and Tom Cloud
The spike in prices of gold and silver has surprised many. At the same time, there are ways to make money on the rallies in both these metals.Trading sentiments for the yellow metal turned bullish on heavy buying support, following turmoil in Libya and surging crude oil prices. While gold surged to more than $1500 an ounce on rising seasonal demand, silver rose to $46.72 an ounce on heavy buying by stockists and industrial units, amid firm global cues. However, such a rise has hardly made any difference in the enthusiasm of the buyers.

Bob Chapman explains the explosion in Silver prices

Get into gold and silver says Bob Chapman , he himself just bought some yesterday it is not late and at this prices gold and silver are still very very cheap , JPM and HSBc are gonna have a decision at $50 an ounce silver either partial default or total default or a bailout from the Federal Reserve. Gold is going to break out here and is going to go to $1600 , $1650 , silver is another situation , the unusual situation is that JP Morgan Chase and HSBC are short 45 to 1 , that means for every contract they have in silver they sold 45 and there is thousands of them , they're naked short they can't get out they can't buy back into silver which keeps on going up , 3 things can happen here , they either can tell their clients we do not have silver and we are going to pay you 25 cents on the dollar or they can default in complete in other words what is called a force majeure or the federal reserve can step in and cover their losses ....at 46 dollars a share their losses are about 90 billion dollars

The gold rush : small investors flocking into gold

Small investors start flocking into gold and silver as The US dollar is in trouble. Inflation and debt have a nation in the choke hold. We can get out but not with our FED's current monetary system of fractional reserve lending. Our economic system is designed to drive us further in debt. Abolishing the Federal Reserve and returning to sound money will solve 90% of this country's problems. It used to be very difficult for private individuals to find a simple, cost effective and secure way of buying, storing, and later selling gold, Not anymore now you can buy gold even from ATM machines in Florida and Las Vegas .Investing in gold and silver will protect your assets from the inevitable collapse of the dollar. The Eonomy is growing again says Obama , believe it ...

Gold Bars - with Tungsten Cores

Gold Bars - with Tungsten Cores , be careful what you are buying , this is not meant to scare you , but just to make you aware of the fact that there are some fakes out there , last week when I heard that some silver pesos fakes were calculating I grabbed mine to my coin shop and exchanged them for some Canadian maples that I can trust

It's wonderful, one can't trust anyone at this time, especially the US government,We, the average people, are slipping back into our historical role as slaves.Stop borrowing money. Stop enslaving yourself to anything that sends you a bill. Stop spending your money with any multinational corporation. Start growing food and baking at home. The fractional reserve banking system, money multipliers and ETF policies finally become exposed for what they are: legalized fraud. Before the banks there was no inflation; I wonder when the general public will become aware of the fact that the entire financial system is one huge scam.

Silver and rare earth are going to be in tremendous demand : Stephen Leeb

Stephen Leeb on Goldseek Radio 20 Apr 2011

...what I am more concerned about to be honest with you is what going on with Silver market and rare earth market says Stephen Leeb these markets are up more than 30 percent since the Japanese Earthquake and the nuclear accident , I do not think it is coincidental I really think it is recognition that silver and rare earth are going to be in tremendous demand because they are central to renewable energy , and if the nuclear is going to take a back seat even in China where they will still go forward pretty aggressively with nuclear they're really got to be more conscious of the risks that means a lot more solar a lot more wind a lot more rare earth a lot more silver , I would not be surprise that the Chinese are behind the Silver market move Stephen Leeb added ...or a major part of it , if that's the case I would guess the silver will go much more higher ....

Gold above $1500 an ounce and rising !!!

Gold above the USD 1,500 an ounce mark for the first time in history . James Steel chief commodity analyst at HSBC gives his insight

James Steel believes that it is pretty much on the investment side where the demand is booming : It’s very much on the investment side. When I first started looking at the gold market, the bulk of consumption was in the jewellery market. So it went physically towards someone owning gold for adoration around the neck or finger etc. The theme in the last several years, particularly, since the crisis began to hit what started out as a subprime mortgage crisis in the middle of 2007, the shift has been very much towards investment and less towards jewellery. The percentages of gold consumption for jewellery have dropped while investment has risen. That’s because the price has risen and that has pushed some people out of the jewellery market followed by the fact that a decline in luxury goods, consumption when you get an economic crisis followed by the increased portfolio diversification demand for gold. We definitely have seen a shift in the buying pattern for gold.

Gold prices hit a new record high

Gold prices hit a new record level when the $ 1500 an ounce mark was reached for the first time in the history of the precious metal .
The rise comes after the credit rating agency Standard & Poor's for the first time reduced the long-term debt rating of the United States from stable to negative, and as the depreciation of the dollar against major currencies continues.
And comes amid growing fears about the worsening U.S. fiscal deficit, and the crisis of European sovereign debt.
One of the issues that have contributed to the rising prices of the yellow metal in recent months, are the middle east revolts erupted, which caused a large rise in prices of raw materials in general, including crude oil and grain, which led to raise fears about inflation and rising prices.

Jim Rogers Silver will get triple digits this year

Jim Rogers : ...the thing that caught people's attention is that gold was going up so much that's the wrong way to invest , Look I own gold I own silver but where were these guys five years ago ten years ago that's when they should have ben doing all of this (buying huge amounts of silver) unfortunately for all of us most investors do not notice something until there is nice bull market in place such as with gold and silver , after ten years of price rises in gold people are starting to notice ...and yes there will be more people buying gold eventually everybody is going to own gold and then we will have to sell our gold but that's a long way from now ....
If silver continues a parabolic move I have to worry , all parabolic bubbles pops at the end , unless there is a currency crash , if silver goes up to $150 without a currency collapse I would worry says Jim Rogers

Marc Faber, editor & publisher of "The Gloom, Boom & Doom Report" talks about his preferred ways to invest in gold  " well basically I do not think that people should punt on Gold but they should be their own central bank and gradually accumulate gold reserves as a currency and they should basically hold it physically but not in the US outside the US " " I think there is the risk that the US will once again as they did in 1933 collect the gold expropriate the gold they will not take away and not pay anything they'll pay probably the market price and after they will revalue it it by say five times "

Silver in the hands of the people

Silver in the hands of the people Silver as Money : Summary of the lecture given by Hugo

Salinas-Price President of the Mexican Civic Association for Silver in January 2011," How to monetize silver so that it can circulate permanently in parallel with paper and digital money" the last bubble is world's currencies , all currencies in the world are fiat currencies and they are all derivatives of the dollar , which is itself nothing but a piece of paper ,The silver coins will outlast any central bank

The first conditions to menetize one ounce coin silver are :
The coin shall not bear an engraved monetary value.
The Treasury will attribute a quote, a monetary value in pounds to the ounce.
The quote will serve the same function as an engraved value.
when the coin has an engraved value it's condemned to go out of circulation
The last monetary quote given to the ounce by the issuer must not be reducible.
Just as is the condition of present British pound coins and bank notes.
If the quote is allowed to fluctuate in value downward, according to the price of silver, then the ounce will not be currency: it will continue existing as a commodity
Silver money will remain permanently in circulation and will never be at risk of disappearing due to a collapse of the banking system.

JP Morgan is an arm of the FED says Daryl Bradford Smith of the French Connection : I guarantee by September of this year you won't recognize America or Europe things are going to get desperate because this financial nightmare is just exploding now , one of the things that's gong to happen and this is in the banking industry which is their crime wave , The price of Silver has reached over forty and I know when silver goes over fifty JP Morgan will owe over 600 billion in short position , but guess what they have been doing clandestinely and this is why I know that JP Morgan is an arm of the FED that they are the FED , everybody thinks that JP Morgan is a private consortium , it is as private as the FED is private they are all owned by criminals , these criminals work together and the simple fact is their short position trying to hold silver in check is going to explode on them and there is nothing they can do about that explosion , in the last 3 or 4 weeks they have been net buyers of silver , JP Morgan was trying to buy its way out of this rising silver prices , when it gets over 50 they'll walk away from these short positions ...

Bill Murphy they (JP Morgan ) do not have the physical silver to deliver against their short positions they are trapped and they will likely have a panic ,....according to Bill Murphy the real spectacular demand for silver is going to come from investors rather than from the industrial demand because gold becoming mre and more expensive a lot of people can't afford it , so the poorman's gold becoming ever more important and people are starting to pour into silver because they cannot afford Gold the silver gold ratio could shoot to ten to one according to Eric Sprott , the shorts are trapped and JP Morgan they played this derivative game on the short side and what happened now is that they hit the wall , they do not have the physical silver to deliver and the longs know it and that's why these silver rallies are very brief and the market comes right back again "we have a panic coming and it could come at any time "
