Absolute Bottom In Gold Confirmed, Silver To Remain Volatile - Gary Wagner | Kitco News
As gold prices continue to rise Tuesday, one technical analyst says he expects the momentum to continue. ‘We saw what I believe is the absolute bottom in terms of gold prices when it came intraday down to about $1,071 and since that, we’ve seen the market rise,’ Gary Wagner, editor of thegoldforecast.com, told Kitco News in an interview Tuesday. ‘I think we will probably see some stabilization.’ According to Wagner, it is also interesting that gold prices and equities are moving in tandem, as they did in 2009, he said. December gold futures were last up 0.11% at $1,165.80 an ounce, while major U.S. indices remain flat on the day. Looking at silver, Wagner said to expect more volatility for the metal ahead. December Comex silver futures continued their rally from last week and hit a high of about $16.08/oz Monday. The white metal is currently back down at around $15.90/oz. ‘We saw [silver] rise from $14 to where it moved almost $2 in under two weeks in trading, so we will see volatility and may see much more upside,’ Wagner said. The technical forecaster is also optimistic about the platinum group metals, particularly palladium. ‘We’ve got palladium that has been just a stellar performer, actually moving closer and closer to parity with platinum,’ he noted. ‘So that is certainly something you want to watch as we go into the end of the year.’ Kitco News, October 13, 2015.

2014 Kitco Gold Outlook ~ Gary Wagner
Gary Wagner is on Kitco News to share part two of his 2014 gold outlook.
"I do believe that through the end of the year, we could see lower
pricing [for gold] and we could stay under $1,200," Wagner says. With
regards to last week's Fed taper announcement, Wagner says what is
interesting to note is the fact that they intend to maintain low
interest rates. "Of course, low interest rates are a bearish scenario
for the precious metals markets," he says. "I am looking for the market
to bottom at $1,150-$1,181. If it cannot hold that area, $1,042 is the
next stair we would logically look at." Watch now to hear which precious
metal he expects to shine the most in 2014 and to hear his analysis on
the equity market, gold market and quantitative easing. Kitco News,

Gold Breaks Through $1,300 Level - Gary Wagner
Gold Breaks Through $1,300 Level - "Chart This!" with Gary Wagner
The gold forecaster Gary Wagner is on Kitco News to talk about gold's 4-week high and whether the $1,300 breakout signals a rally on this edition of "Chart This!" Wagner says the "market is having a series of higher lows" and this may be a good signal for the bulls. "Gold has fallen out of favor in regards to being a safe-haven asset and so it doesn't seem to react as much to world turmoil as we have seen in the past," he added. Wagner also discusses Bernanke and whether or not the Fed will taper. He ends by looking at the defined range gold is trading in and looks at it in terms of Fibonacci levels.
